Science
In Science, Years 7-10 students have been learning about Biological Science. They have learnt about the level of organization. Through scientific investigations, students gained a better understanding about DNA and genes this term. One of the experiments we have conducted this term was DNA extraction. With baking soda and detergent, students extracted DNA from split peas successfully. By observing the DNA up-close, we could see the strand-like structures floating in the solution.

Maths
In Maths, Years 5-6 have been learning about fractions and number patterns. We have learned to convert fractions to numbers and percentages. We have been utilizing Microsoft Class Notebook in the lessons. Each student is getting more individualized support by working in their private notebook and receiving feedback from the teacher.
Treasure Hunt
Students applied their knowledge to solve problems in a treasure hunt. They had to solve the question on each task card and to locate the next card. The first student who completed the game was the winner. The treasure hunt took place in the playground and the students were decoding the questions on the cards.
