F-2 HPE

We have played some new games this term. Students love playing Space Ball. They have divided into different teams – Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. In this game, students develop their collaborative and communication skills. They compete against one another and try to throw the balls at another team’s vest. All students learn about the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.

5-6 Mathematics

We learnt about geometry this term. We use different models to learn about the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. The photos show students using Geoboards to calculate area of composite shapes.

We also learnt about time conversion between 12-hour and 24-hour systems. Students are encouraged to apply their knowledge in this board game. This is a modified monopoly, but with the theme as time conversion.

7-10 Science

Students have conducted a range of experiments this term. From atoms to chemical compounds, students inquired the chemical reactions between different elements and compounds. They developed a better understanding of chemical science. Towards the end of term, students also had the Science Stations to revise and apply their knowledge to solve a range of scientific problems.
