Term 2 has seen our music students really make some headway after our late start in Term1. In Week 5 teacher Jo Pike visited in person ,although it was a shorter visit than planned due to scheduling difficulties caused by the previous day's dust storms! The students enjoyed having their teacher there producing some really good sounds and played well together as an ensemble. In the rush we forgot to take photos of the visit. We only have 7 lessons this term due to the public holiday, closure day and student free day.  Then there has been the mystery of the disappearing sheet music that was to have been handed out.  Another print run solved that problem.  I hope students have been practising their notes, breathing and embouchure over the last few weeks ready for the last lessons of the term. Remember to bring your instruments and music on Mondays for your lessons.

On the first day of term 3 members of the Adelaide Youth Orchestra will again visit our school. They plan to run a workshop with music students after lunch which will be followed by a concert for all to attend. These visits have been encouraging and entertaining in the past so it is something to work towards and look forward to. Keep on practising! We are working towards being able to perform for the school one day.
