"Meet the Bugs" Workshop at Hawker Area School
We are excited to announce that tomorrow, Monday, 3 November, Hawker Area School will be hosting a “Meet the Bugs” workshop delivered by Kristen Messenger from Bugs n Slugs. This workshop promises an engaging, hands-on learning experience for our students.
Workshop Details:
- The sessions are enquiry-based and highly interactive, giving students the opportunity to observe and handle a variety of living and preserved bugs.
 - The program is carefully structured to allow children to make their own choices regarding how and with which animals they wish to engage, using a simple 'traffic light' system for safety and comfort.
 - The session will begin with students gathered on the floor, followed by hands-on opportunities with the animals and displays, and will conclude with a Q&A and interactive bug science activities.

Session Times:
- Kindy Students: After recess on Monday
 - Foundation to Year 2: After lunch on Monday
 - Year 3-6: Tuesday morning

We extend a special thank you to Amey Solly for her efforts as a parent in helping bring this fantastic opportunity to our school.
If you have any questions about the sessions, please don’t hesitate to contact the front office.
