OHSC Survey

The Department for Education is seeking our help to inform the future planning for Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) services. You are invited to participate in a short survey about your family’s need for flexible care, to better understand the demand for OSHC services in our community and across the state.

While completing this survey does not mean a service will be established at Hawker Area School, it will help the department better understand the needs of our local community to help inform the planning and implementation of OSHC services across the state.

You can access the survey here: https://survey.education.sa.gov.au/n/1vWSnjr

The survey is only 5 questions long and is completely anonymous – your answers will never identify you or your child. The survey is open until Sunday 17th August 2025.

If you have any questions about the survey, or about the OSHC Reform work, please do not hesitate to contact the department’s OSHC Reform Team via email: education.OSHCReform@sa.gov.au.

Assembly Announcement

Dear Parents & Caregivers,

We have taken the decision to postpone our presentation assembly indefinitely and look for other ways to show off the student work that would have been presented. With the term already in full motion with students engaged in learning for this term it was decided that it would be best to move on with this term’s learning program and school events. We have a big term coming up and look forward to having parents on site for school programs including our Sports Day and our Open Day.
